Mental Health Matters

Enhancing our understanding, to improve our care and support for those who need it.

This two–day workshop equips church leaders to help others explore together and  improve their understanding of mental health problems, and also to address the issues of stigma and witch accusations against people experiencing such problems.

Practical outcomes include: enhanced biblical understanding of mental health issues; learning that people experiencing mental health problems are not witches, and that mental health disorders rarely have a demonic root; discovering ways to provide loving help and support to children and adults living with mental health problems in the church and local community; and exploring actions to change harmful attitudes and stigma towards those living with mental health issues.

This is a follow–on to the "Heart of the Matter" training course.
